General Summary: Responsible for the attainment of profitability, operational and strategic objectives in the designated retail outlets.

Reports to: Area Manager

Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Provides middle management link between Area Manager (AM) and outlet staff;
  2. Visits designated outlets regularly;
  3. Coordinates with partner retail institution (PRI) regarding business and personnel issues;
  4. Helps in the development of and implements business strategies at the outlet level (marketing and promotional activities, pricing, merchandising, stock management, etc.)
  5. Ensures that all employees and trainees in the designated outlets adhere to company and PRI policies and procedures;
  6. Monitors the job performance of outlet personnel, conducts performance appraisals, identifies training needs, and, where applicable, delivers training;
  7. Performs administrative functions such as organizing work schedules in coordination with Head Butchers, authorizing overtime work, preparing or requesting for the preparation of introduction and excuse letters, liquidating and replenishing revolving fund, etc.;
  8. Communicates all employee relations issues, concerns and incidents to Human Resource Department and AM;
  9. Handles customer feedback and/or complaint, forwards the same to Quality Assurance Department, and communicates escalated issues to AM;
  10. Gathers competitor information (pricing, new products, promos, etc.) and reports the same to AM;
  11. Identifies additional resources required, i.e., knives, sharpening tools, cleaning chemicals, packaging supplies, etc.;
  12. Creates and presents reports for monitoring, planning and decision-making of AM and other departments;
  13. Analyzes the financial reports of the assigned outlets and recommends areas for improvement;
  14. Assists with new store setups;
  15. Supports Head Butchers in their endeavors to achieve targets;
  16. Assists AM in setting and reviewing budgets and targets;
  17. Inspires co-employees to live the Gung Ho! life;
  18. Performs other tasks as may be assigned from time to time.

Desired candidate profile:

  1. Team player;
  2. college degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Hotel and Restaurant Management or related field
  3. At least 2 years work experience in meat retailing, or equivalent.
  4. Able to manage and direct highly skilled, motivated, and results-oriented outlet personnel;
  5. With strong problem-solving and negotiation skills;
  6. Self-motivator and self-starter;
  7. Develops and maintains good working relationships;
  8. Communicates effectively, both orally and in writing;
  9. Able to multi-task and use initiative;
  10. With strong organizational skills;
  11. Microsoft Office proficient, especially Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Windows Explorer;

Physical Requirements:

  1. Must be able to read manuals, receipts, other documents and use computer
  2. Must be able to hear well enough to communicate with others
  3. Must be able to walk some lengths and stand for extended periods of time.
  4. Must be able to write, encode, and use phone system and other office equipment
